Charlie Jones

Charlie is best known as a bass player who has toured and done sessions for many top twenty acts. He has had long-standing collaborations with Robert Plant and more recently, Goldfrapp. He recently won a Grammy Award for co-writing the song ‘Please Read The Letter’ that appears on Robert Plant and Alison Krauss album ‘Raising Sand’.

Beginning his career as bass player in The Muscle Shoal, Mark is an accomplished producer and engineer sought after for both his musical and technical ability. An experienced writer, arranger and programmer, he went on to become house engineer at Raezor Studios, where he met Chris Hughes and co-produced with him, Gay Dad’s debut album, Leisurenoise. Mark is a talented musician and plays bass, guitar and keyboards. He’s been on tour with Clare Teal and plays on all the albums that he works on.

Best known as producer of Tears for Fears’ platinum selling ‘Songs from the Big Chair’ album and co-writer of ‘Everybody Wants to Rule the World’, Chris has an impressive background as a musician, songwriter and producer. His career began with Adam and the Ants as drummer and producer of ‘Kings of the Wild Frontier’. Yielding 3 hit singles, the distinctive sound of this highly influential album earned Chris Music Week’s Producer of the Year award. He has worked on the early development of Tom McCrae and The Electric Soft Parade, producing debut albums that were both nominated for the prestigious Mercury Music Prize. Chris has played drums for Enya, Tori Amos and Peter Gabriel.

He has now set up his own record label, Helium Records, which is rightly earning rave reviews for all the albums released to date.
